Sonya - Love All of Who You Are

If you scored high in this section on Grounding and Being True to Yourself, you manage to be here much of the time, which is not always easy. You have learned to keep your feet firmly on the ground when needed. Being grounded allows you to free yourself to fly and expand safely.

You've learned to shrug off self-consciousness and other people's opinions as you know the truth of who you are.

You have found or are finding ways to follow your passions and live your dreams. Finding and living what brings you joy is an enormous accomplishment and enriches everything and everyone around you.

Many of us struggle when other people tell us that we aren't beautiful enough, thin enough, smart enough, or talented enough.

When others  tell us that we aren't beautiful enough, thin enough, smart enough, or talented enough, something in us shrinks and dies.

In these days of the internet, body-shaming and bullying are more present than ever. We're constantly faced with unreal pictures of what we should look like, how successful and happy everyone else seems to be. We don't realize that a lot of that is hype, and even if it were true, it doesn't affect who we are. We believe they are who they pretend to be.

We lose our confidence and  fear; we just can't measure up. We lose sight of how magnificent, beautiful and talented we are. We lose our Magic, and our ability to share our Love and Light with the World is dimmed.

Is this an area where you struggle? Do the opinions of others cause you to shrink into yourself or feel self-conscious? Do you feel safe being fully you? Are you following your dreams?

Sonya, the sometimes Hippo Says…

All my life, I have felt shamed by others for being different. Sometimes I allow their opinion to get to me. I lose hope and confidence and kind of lose myself.

When I can let go of their opinions, I become fully who I am and live as my true self. I remember everything I can and want to do with my life.

My Magic returns.

I want to write to inspire and encourage others to be their magnificent selves... I'm changing my priorities and making time to make that happen. Now!

Where can you change your priorities and give yourself time to make your dreams happen?

If your Magic feels far away, ask yourself if you're letting doubt and letting other people's opinions get in your way.

Remember everything you know and focus on who you are and what you want to do in your life, and your Magic will return.

1. Change your priorities
Give yourself time to make your dreams happen. Sometimes it's just a matter of giving space between all the must-dos and should's to take the time out to dream and start taking steps to manifest and understand your dreams. Sonya gives some excellent ideas on changing priorities in "The Dual Path."

2. Quiet your Mind.
If you've been searching for answers and not finding them, sometimes all it takes is a sincere wish to know and a quiet, open mind. Don't overthink this next question; answer with the first thought that comes to mind. Relax and breathe; it's not a test. You can't get it wrong. It doesn't even need to seem practical, just something from your heart.

"If money, training, and talent were no object, what would you most love to do?"  Did you get an answer? If so, how can you find time to bring that into your life and make it happen?

Start looking for ways to get what you need. It may take some training, practice, or learning new skills. There is so much available now on the internet and YouTube, that you can begin learning almost anything for free.

3. Move towards your heart's desire.

You don't have to immediately throw your life into chaos to make small strides towards your heart's desire.

Focus on your truly magnificent beauty and talents, no matter what others may think or say. Allow your inner qualities to blossom and grow to infuse a sparkle to everything you touch, shining your light on all those with whom you connect.

When you feel empowered, creative, and vibrant, your Magic is fully alive and vibrant, and answers and opportunities start to pop up, sometimes in unexpected places and ways. Pay attention to those opportunities.

If you want to be a writer, which was Sonya's desire, read books on writing, watch videos, join an in-person or online writing group. Hone your skills. But most of all, start writing for yourself. At first, don't even think about sharing it; write for the joy of writing.

You can apply this same concept to many things.

4. How can you turn a dream or a hobby into something more?

You may even eventually turn it into a career if that's what you want?

5. Find what brings you joy!

Focus on your truly magnificent beauty and talents, no matter what others may think or say. Allow your inner qualities to blossom and grow to infuse a sparkle to everything you touch, shining your light on all you meet.

When you feel empowered, creative, and vibrant, others feel it too.

Keep your Magic alive, and it reverberates around the World.
